Falls Church, VA, May 3, 2006 — Beginning May 2006, MHz NETWORKS launches the SPECTRUM FILM FESTIVAL — an on-air film festival to be broadcast on MHz WORLDVIEW.

SPECTRUM FILM FESTIVAL was born out of a long tradition at MHz NETWORKS of finding a voice for content within a cultural context. At its core, MHz NETWORKS remains an educational organization committed to enriching the lives of those it serves-to connect local ethnic communities to their home countries and keep Americans informed about the rest of the world.

Finalists from SPECTRUM will be aired on our exclusive 24/7 programming feed called MHz WORLDVIEW for public television stations. MHz WORLDVIEW is a new national programming service of MHz NETWORKS, headquartered in Washington, D.C. For more than 10 years, MHz NETWORKS has been building unique international programming relationships with some of the world's greatest programmers. In Washington, D.C., MHz is seen on public stations WNVC and WNVT, two independent non-PBS affiliated broadcast stations.
